This is just a quick annoucement to notify those who already don’t know, I had moved to a self hosted WordPress blog on http://uzee.uzeeinc.com, my new personal weblog. As for the technology and gadgets part, I would be launching a new service soon and I already write for Sizlopedia so you can be sure to hear the latest tech news from me. Thanks to all those who supported this blog of mine, it really helped me go a long way.

Facebook shines on Google Chrome

Web developers and website owners all over the world are up making sure that their applications are compatible with Google Chrome. In my Hands On Test Drive, I reported that some of the websites and features were not fully functional due to the fact that Chrome caught the world by surprise. Well in their latest update today, Facebook has resolved most of the issues on Chrome, thanks to the people who work through the night just to make the web a better place.

Microsoft to can Age of Empires maker

Gamespot.com revealed today that Microsoft plans to shutdown its Ensemble Studios. Speculations were raised after Microsoft had fired much of the staff at Ensemble; which is currently developing Halo Wars. Gaming news sites Gamasutra , and Shacknews reported that those directly involved in the much anticipated Real-Time Strategy, would be the only ones left after today.

New Projects at Gmail Labs

Gmail Labs unveiled three new projects today, on the official Gmail Blog. Gmail Labs has been around for some time now, giving previews of upcoming features to Gmail, be they mouse controlled gestures or a good ol’ fashioned game of Snake.

The new features released are designed to enhance the functionality of mail labels. For example you can now rearrange the order of your left hand pane to your liking. Everything below the folder view is interchangeable giving you options to customize your mailbox view. Just drag and drop the contents as you like, and remove those annoying little boxes from your sights.

Facebook may be making over $100 Million virtually this year

Tell me who hasn’t heard about Facebook yet? Sure there may be some poor souls who still haven’t joined it yet, but virtually every single entity (bot or human) on the Internet has heard about it at least once. Facebook was founded in February 2004, as a closed registration website. It opened its membership to the world in September 2006, challenging the likes of Google’s Orkut and MySpace.

Today, at their Lets Rock event, Apple unveiled their latest lineup of iPods. The news wasn’t totally unexpected as images of the 4th Generation iPod Nano had already been leaked on the Internet. And Apple was due to make an announcement today, which came a couple of hours after when Microsoft had unveiled their plans for the new Zune.

Wild Pockets: Create your own 3D Games Online for Free

At the DEMOfall 08 conference today, Sim Ops Studios debuted a free tool for creating 3-D games online in a web browser, called Wild Pockets. It gives a casual users, the tools needed to build rich and interesting games online, and share them with family and friends.

The web based game creation tool allows you to create a game by dragging and dropping objects into a 3-D world editor. There is a large library of objects and environments to choose from, including some basic primitives to particle systems. There is also an option to import images in the editor from your computer or the web.

Windows Live Messenger 9 Beta M2 Hands On Test Drive

The latest installment of my Hands On Test Drive series features Microsoft Live Messenger 9.0.14.0.3921.717 M2 (beta build). This beta version was released to beta testers last week from Microsoft Connect Program, and I got my copy from a friend. I instantly installed it on my system, but had problems signing in. So I switched back to version 8.5. Well I decided to give it another try today and, thankfully, it worked.

WindowBlinds 6.3 and SkinStudio 6.3 Betas in time for GUIC 2008

The latest version of the Stardock’s flagship products, WindowBlinds and SkinStudio were released to the public two days ago. The public betas are available for download to all subscribers via Stardock Central. The news came on September 2 on WinCustomize, when most of the world was waiting for the launch of Google Chrome. Did you purchase a new Sony VAIO in between May 2007 and July 2008? If so then you may have a malfunctioning system. Earlier today, Sony Japan had issued a recall for all its VAIO TZ series notebooks sold between the above mentioned date.
